Making your own spinach cream cheese spread is quick and easy to prepare. Simply purée in food processor until smooth.

Ingredients


  • 1 POM® 100% Whole Wheat Bagel, split and toasted
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) light cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) thawed chopped spinach, pressed dry
  • 2 tbsp (25 mL) chopped pickled jalapeno peppers
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) chopped fresh basil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • Pinch each salt and pepper

Directions


Add cream cheese, spinach, jalapeno, basil, garlic and 1 tbsp water to food processor; pulse until smooth.

Spread 1 tbsp (15 mL) cream cheese mixture over each bagel half. (Refrigerate remaining cream cheese mixture for another use.) Top with tomato. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
