Ingredients

  • 4 POM® Signature The Gold Sausage Buns
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) mayo
  • 1 garlic clove, finely grated
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) grainy mustard
  • 1 1/2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp each (2 mL) salt and pepper
  • 1 cup (250 ml) shredded carrots
  • 2 cups (500 mL) loosely packed finely shredded kale
  • 2 cups (500 mL) finely shredded green cabbage
  • 2 cups (500 mL) finely shredded red cabbage
  • 4 garlic smokies

Directions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the mayo, garlic, and grainy mustard until combined; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together vinegar, sugar and oil; season with salt and pepper. Add carrots, kale and cabbage, toss to combine, set aside to marinate.
  4. Grill smokies until lightly charred and cooked through, 5 – 7 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. To assemble, spread garlic aioli over buns, add some slaw, and top with smokies. Serve any remaining slaw on the side.
