Ingredients

Sandwich:

  • 2 Slices of POM® Signature Everything Bread
  • 4 Slices of Deli Roast Beef (or leftover from a roast)
  • 3 Slices of Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 Steakhouse Tomato, thinly sliced
  • 2 Radishes, trimmed and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 Cup (125g) Arugula
  • Vegetable Cooking Oil
  • 1 Red Onion, sliced super thin
  • 2 Tbsp (30g) Cornstarch

Creamy Horseradish Spread:

  • 1 Cup (250g) Sour Cream
  • 1/4 Cup (60g) Horseradish, freshly grated
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp (22.5g) Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Tsp (5mL) Champagne Vinegar
  • 1 Tsp (5mL) Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp (8g) Chives, freshly chopped

Directions

  1. Prepare the Creamy Horseradish Spread by whisking all the ingredients together and set aside.
  2. In a heavy skillet, heat up 1 inch of vegetable oil over high heat to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Dust the red onion slices with cornstarch and fry until golden brown, then remove with a slotted spoon and place onto a paper-towel-lined plate and season with salt.
  4. Spread 2 slices of bread with the Creamy Horseradish.
  5. Layer with roast beef, cheddar cheese, tomato, radishes, and arugula and top with crispy fried onions.
  6. Cap with the remaining slice of bread.
  7. Option to serve with extra Creamy Horseradish Spread for dipping.
