Ingredients
- 4 POM® Signature Gold Hamburger Buns
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) mayo
- 1 tsp (5 mL) white miso
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) ketchup
- 2 lbs (900 g) lean ground beef
- 1 tsp (5 mL) salt and pepper
- 8 slices of cheddar cheese
- 8 green leaf lettuce leaves
- 2 beefsteak tomatoes, sliced
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced into rounds
Directions
- Preheat grill to medium-high.
- In a small bowl, stir together mayo, white miso and ketchup until smooth, set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together ground beef with salt and pepper, divide into 8 patties that are 5 inches wide and 1/2-inch (1 cm) thick.
- Once the grill is hot, place the burgers on the grill, close the lid, cook for 2 – 3 minutes, until lightly charred, flip and continue to cook for 2 – 3 minutes or until cooked through.
- Place a slice of cheese on each burger, close the lid and let it melt for 1 – 2 minutes.
- Transfer burgers to a platter.
Tip: Handle the ground beef as little as possible – the more you work the meat, the tougher it will become.
