French Toast Kabobs

Perfect for kids and adults, these kabobs are a fun way to serve French toast. The quick and easy Maple Cream Cheese Dipping Sauce is rich, creamy and definitely irresistible!

  • 8 slices POM® Ultra-Soft™ Sandwich White Bread
  • 1 cup (250 mL) milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) butter
  • 8 strawberries, halved
  • 64 blueberries (about 1 cup)
  • 16 banana slices
  • 8 oz (250 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) maple syrup
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) whipping cream


  1. Whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon in a shallow bowl or dish.
  2. Melt one-quarter of the butter in large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Dip slices of bread into milk mixture; add to skillet.
  4. Cook, in batches, for 2 to 3 minutes per side or until golden brown, adding remaining butter as necessary.
  5. Cut each slice of French toast into 8 cubes; thread 4 cubes of bread onto each skewer, alternating as desired with 4 blueberries, 2 strawberry halves and 1 banana slice.
  6. Maple Cream Cheese Dipping Sauce: Whip cream cheese, maple syrup and vanilla with electric beaters until blended.
  7. Clean beaters and using a clean bowl, whip cream until stiff peaks form; fold into cream cheese mixture.
  8. Serve French Toast kabobs with Maple Cream Cheese Dipping Sauce.

Tips: You can substitute your favourite fruit for the kebabs - try peaches, melons or apples.
