French Toast Kabobs
Perfect for kids and adults, these kabobs are a fun way to serve French toast. The quick and easy Maple Cream Cheese Dipping Sauce is rich, creamy and definitely irresistible!

Ingredients
- 8 slices POM® Ultra-Soft™ Sandwich White Bread
- 1 cup (250 mL) milk
- 4 eggs
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) granulated sugar
- 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla
- 1/2 tsp (2 mL) cinnamon
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) butter
- 8 strawberries, halved
- 64 blueberries (about 1 cup)
- 16 banana slices
- 8 oz (250 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) maple syrup
- 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) whipping cream
Directions
- Whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon in a shallow bowl or dish.
- Melt one-quarter of the butter in large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
- Dip slices of bread into milk mixture; add to skillet.
- Cook, in batches, for 2 to 3 minutes per side or until golden brown, adding remaining butter as necessary.
- Cut each slice of French toast into 8 cubes; thread 4 cubes of bread onto each skewer, alternating as desired with 4 blueberries, 2 strawberry halves and 1 banana slice.
- Maple Cream Cheese Dipping Sauce: Whip cream cheese, maple syrup and vanilla with electric beaters until blended.
- Clean beaters and using a clean bowl, whip cream until stiff peaks form; fold into cream cheese mixture.
- Serve French Toast kabobs with Maple Cream Cheese Dipping Sauce.
Tips: You can substitute your favourite fruit for the kebabs - try peaches, melons or apples.
